"Urban Distress" is a series of six photos born out of my frustration with the lack of artistic expression in my "normal job" at the beginning of 2024, which mainly involved photographing properties for a real estate company in São Paulo, Brazil. My camera and computer were overflowing with images of various locations around the city, and I longed to infuse them with a more personal and creative touch.

Given my limited time during that period of my life for personal artistic pursuits, I chose to intervene in something that had become an integral part of my daily life, whether by choice or not. Thus, the six-part digital intervention on São Paulo's photos was born. It captures a blend of anguish, despair, and the challenges of navigating an unfamiliar environment while striving to cultivate my artistic practice and make it my livelihood.
